Kevin Kolb Trade Rumors: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie Remains The Name That Pays

When the NFL CBA is finally figured out, free agency and trading will get going, which means the Kevin Kolb sweepstakes will shift into overdrive. While the San Francisco 49ers are highly unlikely to be in the running for Kolb, the Arizona Cardinals are the most prominently mentioned team. Given their residence in the NFC West, we'll be keeping a close eye on how that develops.

The latest "development" in this story is not quite as big a development as ESPN might make it out to be. After rumors seemed to have the Philadelphia Eagles looking for some draft picks in a Kolb dea, the latest rumors have them looking for a player in the deal who can contribute right away. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is the name that has been connected to the Eagles and Kolb, although it's a lot of speculation given the state of NFL affairs at the moment.

As a rival of the Cardinals, what would be optimal for the 49ers in this situation? There seems to be a fairly even divide when it comes to Kolb. Some folks think he could turn into a very solid quarterback while others look at him as an unproven QB that could just easily wash out if given a full time starting chance. If Kolb went to Arizona, how do you view it from the perspective of being a 49ers fan?
