"Camp Alex" Minicamp Update: Michael Crabtree Arrives, Chilo Rachal Not Spotted Yet

Tre's Update 12:00pm: Crabtree did not appear to run any routes with other receivers, rather he played ball-boy and mostly observed.

Fooch's Update 11:45am: Well, sounds like Crabtree was just getting his cleats. Non-story #1 thankfully.

Fooch's Update 11:20am: Apparently Crabtree left the stadium following the class room work. No word on if he'll be returning today.

The San Francisco 49ers convened today for their second edition of the "Camp Alex" players-only minicamp at San Jose State University. We've got a variety of beat writers outside the practice looking on and tweeting as only they can. If you're looking for updates, check out Eric Branch, Matt Maiocco, Matt Barrows, and Samuel Lam. Additionally, Maiocco is posting blog updates, although for now Twitter appears to be the better option.

First and foremost, to prevent the drama from building, Michael Crabtree arrived for the workout. It remains to be seen how much he'll get out on the practice field, but I'd like to hope that his foot is healed, the new shoes are broken in and he's ready to catch some passes from Alex Smith, David Carr and Colin Kaepernick. We'll find out more as the week progresses. Speaking of the quarterbacks, Colin Kaepernick had ice on his left knee heading in but took it off on his way to class and did not have a limp. He had some surgery last month but nothing specific has been explained about that.

In searching through the tweets it sounds like Chilo Rachal has not shown up yet. There's no word on if he had another event or what exactly. It'd be nice to see him get some work in with the rest of the offensive line, even if it's limited in these minicamps. Thus far today, the offensive line is represented by Joe Staley, Adam Snyder, Alex Boone, Mike Person, and Mike Iupati. Anthony Davis won't be attending because he's dealing with some sort of legal matter. Given that nothing has popped up about this at PFT or TMZ, I'm going to operate under the assumption that it is not something "bad." I won't say it's not serious in part because I don't know and in part because legal matters are usually serious business no matter what.

We've got most of the wide receivers in attendance. The only rostered WR that is absent is Dominique Zeigler. It's nice knowing the team won't need to haul in some college receivers to provide targets for the quarterbacks.

Here is what appears to be a complete list of offensive players spotted entering the building for what sounds like just completed class-work. Justin Smith and Parys Haralson also are on hand but we'll get more on the defensive players later:
