The 49ers have grabbed a 6-0 lead following a pair of David Akers field goals. The offense has gotten some great field position on the last two drives but the offense has stalled out in the red zone. Ted Ginn got things going earlier with a 31-yard punt return that put the 49ers at the Seattle 27. The team got one first down on a Frank Gore run (with solid blocks from Alex Smith and Joe Staley), but couldn't get it in the end zone.
The 49ers followed that up with a Will Tukuafu interception that set the offense up at the Seahawks 9 yard line. Once again the offense couldn't get anything going. The defense has put together the most impressive pass rush we've seen in quite some time, but now it's time for the offense to step up and figure things out. It's still early so we'll see what kind of adjustments we see. Smith has historically had solid success in the red zone so hopefully it gets cleared up.
GO NINERS!
