49ers Vs. Saints Odds: Prop Bets For Your Amusement

The folks at Bovada (formerly Bodog) put together a rundown of proposition bets for all the NFL playoff games this weekend. I've posted all the 49ers-related odds after the jump. We can get an idea of how people think the game might go by some of these prop bets. The 49ers remain the underdog this weekend with the line nudging up from +3 to +3.5 Over at Scores and Odds it has gone up to four points.

In looking over some of these prop bets, there are a few where I would jump on the 49ers. For example, Frank Gore is 7/2 to record the most rushing yards with Ray Rice and Arian Foster ahead of him. The one drawback on Gore is that Kendall Hunter could get a fair number of yards as well. However, if the 49ers get the victory, there's a pretty good chance we'll see an active day from Frank Gore in the running game. They have set Frank Gore's over/under at 80 1/2 yards and I would definitely take the over.

You can jump back on the no rushing touchdown bandwagon. Bovada has the 49ers giving up a rushing touchdown favored at -170, with no rushing touchdowns allowed set at +145. The Saints rushing attack is a bit underrated in my opinion, but naturally I really like the 49ers rushing defense.

The most intriguing bet is on who will have more turnovers in the game. The 49ers are favored to have more turnovers at -130, while the Saints are even money to have more turnovers. All I can guess is they think the Saints will build a sufficient enough lead where the 49ers will be forced into more of a passing attack to catch up and thus could throw more interceptions.
