Golden Nuggets: Bobby Engram Leaves Coaching Staff

Good morning everybody. The big news from yesterday saw 49ers offensive assistant Bobby Engram leave for the coach staff of new Pitt head coach Paul Chryst. Engram will be the wide receivers coach for Chryst following his season with the 49ers. This was actually his first year as a coach following a 14-year career as a wide receiver in the NFL. Engram had worked as an offensive quality control coach, which is described in some detail in this 2009 New York Times article.

On an unrelated note, if you're looking to get your football fix in today, the 2012 Senior Bowl will kick off at 1:00pm PT on NFL Network. And of course, there is the Pro Bowl tomorrow if you have nothing else to do.
