49ers vs. Seahawks: Spread coming down from opening line

The 49ers loss to the Giants is less than 24 hours removed, but we are already starting to look ahead to the 49ers Week 7 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks. Part of this is due to wanting to forget about the 49ers poor performance on Sunday, and part of this is due to the 49ers having a short turnaround for a Thursday Night Football game.

The opening line for this game was around nine points. In the course of less than a day, the line has dropped to seven points in some online sports books. It is not surprising that people are wagering on the Seahawks. They are coming off a sizable upset of the New England Patriots and have to be playing with some serious confidence at this point.

The number that will be interesting to watch is the over/under. The number is currently set at 37.5 and looks like it will be the lowest over/under of the week. We will be seeing two top notch defenses squaring off. If the national television audience is looking for a shoot-out, this is not that game.
