49ers vs. Giants 2012 recap: My brief take on the game

We use video to break down some key moments that led to the 49ers eventual demise at the hands of the Giants.

The folks at the SB Nation Studio were kind enough to help me quickly turn some video this afternoon providing a brief recap of the 49ers 26-3 loss to the Giants. There isn't much to be said that hasn't already been discussed ad nauseum, but as usual the studio did some great work in quick fashion.

I could have focused on a host of issues, so I just sort of discussed a few of the more pertinent issues. I focused primarily on the offense because the specific criticisms and some critical points. he first Alex Smith interception and the Leonard Davis false start jumped out as two turning point plays. I suppose given the second half performance it is possible nothing really would have turned this game around. And yet, those two plays, along with the missed David Akers field goal all struck me as key opportunities lost. It's all woulda, coulda, shoulda at this point, but it at least makes for interesting discussion.

We'll have some video later this week previewing the 49ers-Seahawks game with the help of some folks from Field Gulls. This along with all our other video this season is over at the Niners Nation YouTube channel. If you subscribe to the channel, you'll get emails when new video is uploaded.
