We're back with our weekly look at NFL Power Rankings. Wes will put together his own rankings, but for now, we've got a look at five sets of power rankings around the league.
The 49ers bounced back from a tough Week 6 loss to the Giants with an ugly but needed Week 7 win over the Seattle Seahawks. The win has moved them up a spot or two in some rankings, although there remains some debate about where they should sit compared to the Packers.
There has to be some value for the 49ers Week 1 win, but of course the Packers get plenty of credit for their road domination of the Houston Texans two weeks ago. They handled the Rams this past week, but I don't think the score was entirely indicative of the Packers performance. The Packers have bounced back from a poor start and now sit at 4-3. They are a game and a half back of the first place Bears and hold a home win over them as well. The Packers will be in the mix the rest of the way, but are they "better" than the 49ers? I think the breakdown of the power rankings shows this is up for debate.
