49ers snap count vs. Cardinals

We break down the 49ers snap count in their 24-3 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

Mark J. Rebilas-US PRESSWIRE

We're back with another breakdown of the 49ers weekly snap count. The only player not to get a snap was quarterback Colin Kaepernick. The offensive line got in a full complement of snaps, while the wide receivers had a fairly balanced mix. Michael Crabtree led receivers with 30 snaps, which was nine down from last week. Crabtree also led receivers with five targets as Alex Smith was able to spread the ball around quite effectively int he passing game.

Randy Moss continued with his usual number of snaps. He has been between around 18 and 25 snaps per game and has made his share of contributions even when the ball isn't coming his way. Obviously he had the big catch and run on Monday, but he has also helped stretch the field to open things up underneath. It was nice though to see him flash some of that in-his-prime speed to burn Sam Acho. Although Acho is a linebacker, he isn't the slowest of linebackers. Nonetheless, Moss had little trouble turning on the jets and racing to the end zone.

On defense, the most notable change from the past was seeing Clark Haggans get a lot of playing time. He finished with 13 snaps as the 49ers got both him and Ricky Jean Francois a solid amount of playing time.
