We're back for Week 5! The 49ers are back home for an extended stretch featuring quite a bit of home cooking. The 49ers host the Bills at 1:25pm PT, kicking off a stretch of three straight home games that includes the Giants and Seahawks. They follow that with a Monday Night Football road game against the Arizona Cardinals, and then return home for their bye week and then back-to-back home games against the Rams and Bears. Since returning from New Jersey, the 49ers will have spent maybe 48 hours on the road over the course of seven weeks. Not too shabby.
This game will be our second game-day in this new SB Nation United look. Last week we had our four game threads, but we connected them to a bigger 49ers-Jets story stream. The stream will include the threads, but I will also mix in updates surrounding the game, including interesting GIFs and injury updates. During the game we'll have a one-up cover, which features just the stream. I've found it to be a pretty slick look for these singular events. The picture is on the left and the right side features the bullet points of stories that are part of the stream.
With a later game today, we'll have inactives at approximately noon pacific, and the first of four 49ers-Bills game threads at approximately 1:15pm PT. Before that we'll have a morning game thread at 9:45pm PT and a Sunday Night Football thread around 5pm PT.

49ers Vs. Bills Odds
The 49ers are ten point favorites heading into today's game. The odds opened at eight points and has since climbed, with a couple sites even going as high as eleven points. Someone made a point in the comments earlier this week about how teams often cover when the lines moves north like it has in this instance. I prefer the previous eight point spread, but again, I do think the 49ers can cover.
It will be interesting though to see how the Bills come out of the gates. Will they come out hot and put the 49ers on their heels, or will the 49ers assert themselves from the start?
