Golden Nuggets: Bills at Niners; Patrick Willis Engaged

Sunday, October 7, 2012 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of 49ers links from around the web.

Ed Mulholland-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Hello everyone. Gameday again. Excited. I've got a good feeling about this one. I've looked at it over and over again and it's hard to see a way in which the Bills beat us today. The things that the Bills excel in, we can cover, and the things that they do poorly play into our strengths. It would take some epic performances from some key players and an off day for the Niners. Wouldn't be the first or last time that the Niners have lost a game like this but we should feel pretty good starting off our three-game homestand. They're three games that we'll be favorites in, though all three teams have playoff aspirations, so we can't take any of them lightly. The Bills are coming off that horrible collapse last week against the Patriots and have back-to-back games on the West coast.

Not a lot of links today. Most of the writers are taking Saturday's off. There will be tons of preview stuff once the Nuggets are already live. I'll be asleep then. So what I'm asking is that each and every one of you help finish the Nuggets off. Any pertinent preview info or gameday news that you'd like to share, link it in the comments. That's your homework assignment. Thanks for the help!

And we'll start today off with a human interest story. Patrick Willis, aka the meanest dude on the planet, is getting married. Congratulations. | Patrick Willis gets engaged. (49erswebzone)
