The 49ers released their latest game release, and each week it includes details on who will be broadcasting the game. The 49ers and Giants will get FOX's number one broadcasting crew, which normally features Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Pam Oliver. For this week, however, Buck will be replaced by Thom Brennaman. Joe Buck provides play-by-play for FOX's MLB playoff coverage, which includes the National League Championship Series and the World Series. That would likely mean no Joe Buck for this Sunday, potentially Sunday October 21 (NLCS game six if necessary) and Sunday October 28 (World Series game four).

Personally it doesn't bother me one way or the other if Buck is calling the game or replaced. I am not a big fan of his play-by-play, but I also know that having Buck in the house means the 49ers are on national television, or close to it. I can generally get past announcers, even if they do rub me the wrong way at times.

For this week's game, the 49ers will be broadcast most everywhere. Unfortunately for me that will not include Washington, DC because the Redskins are playing the Vikings at the same time. Looks like it will be bar time for me. Damn you, Washington Redskins!
