Chris Steuber did not get out his list of where scouts are in attendance, so we don't have that information for you today. I'd imagine they are plenty busy with a full slate of football, but we'll be left guessing where they might be. The horror of it all!
Week 10 was a big one for sizable matchups and things quiet down a little bit in Week 11. There are three matchups of ranked opponents. No. 1 Alabama hosts No. 15 Texas A&M in their final ranked matchup of the regular season. A win over Texas A&M clinches the SEC West for Alabama and secures them a spot in the SEC championship game.
The other ranked matchup features No. 7 LSU hosting No. 21 Mississippi State. LSU suffered a tough, last-second loss to the Tide last week in Baton Rouge. The Tigers appear to technically still be alive in the hunt for a berth in the BCS Title game, but their odds are pretty slim with three SEC teams ahead of them. Crazy things tend to happen with the BCS, but it will take a decent amount for LSU to climb back into the national title hunt.
The Bay Area gets the third ranked matchup as No. 14 Stanford hosts No. 11 Oregon State. The Cardinal are in the midst of a pretty brutal closing stretch. After the Beavers, Stanford travels to No. 3 Oregon and No. 18 UCLA. That does mean Stanford has some measure of control over their bowl destination, but it's hard to say they have "control" over anything when they have to travel to Oregon.
The other Bay Area matchup involves the Cal Bears hosting the Ducks. The Bears are having a miserable season and there is no reason to think they can hang with Oregon, let alone spring an upset. It could be a long down for Cal.
Down below is the Week 11 Saturday schedule, but first, a look at Dan Rubenstein's picks. Dan is hitting on 60% for the year.
