NFL Pro Bowl balloting results: Several 49ers among early leaders

We break down the first round of Pro Bowl balloting results, and where 49ers players are listed.

The NFL is in the midst of conducting Pro Bowl balloting, with results finalized December 17. The league released the first round of results across the league, and the 49ers have four players leading at their respective positions in the NFC. Patrick Willis leads among inside linebackers, Mike Iupati among offensive guards, C.J. Spillman among special teamers and David Akers among kickers.

The overall leader is Peyton Manning, with Tom Brady a close second and Arian Foster coming in third. Head down below to view full results.

It is not surprising that the 49ers are getting a lot of voting love early on. I'm pleased in particular to see Mike Iupati getting a lot of early support at guard. It will be interesting to see who can maintain their lead in the coming weeks. Akers would seem to be the most likely to drop back, but it's hard to figure out Pro Bowl balloting sometimes. A strong November will help, but beyond that, it's sort of a shot in the dark.

For now, make sure and keep voting for 49ers.
