Golden Nuggets: All about the quarterbacks

Friday, November 16th, 2012 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of 49ers links from around the web.

Brian Bahr

Good morning, folks. It strikes me as odd that just about all of the focus for Monday night's game is focusing on the quarterbacks. I mean, I know they're injured and it would be crazy to see Colin Kaepernick and Jason Campbell both under center, but this is such a compelling game in many different ways. One thing that I do enjoy is that folks are suggesting it is a test for the Bears to see where they're at, not for the 49ers.

I like that. We're the good team, they're the unproven team. They have to show they're top dogs by beating the 49ers. How awesome does that feel? Still, after that performance we had last week, I'd say we're pretty unproven, it's just not how everybody sees this team. I remain pessimistic and unconvinced, as one good season was not enough to undo a ton of awful-ness. Onto the links.
