49ers vs. Cardinals 2012: Week 8 Monday Night Football Re-broadcast, 1st Half

I re-watch the 49ers-Cardinals game and comment on it via Google+ Hangout. This first post, starting at 2pm PT covers the first half of the game. The second half will come on Saturday November 3 (tomorrow) at 11am PT.

As I mentioned earlier this week, I have decided to try a little experiment. Thanks to the power of NFL Rewind I can rewatch any 49ers game this season, and into the last few seasons. I've decided to do a Google+ Hangout as I conduct a second viewing of Monday's Week 8 24-3 win over the Arizona Cardinals. The viewing will start at 2pm PT today (Friday).

The reasons I am including a Google+ Hangout include:

1. Those who couldn't watch the game because of Hurricane Sandy can at least get a sort of quasi-radio play-by-play and commentary by me. Not quite at the level of Vin Scully doing it, but it's better than nothing.

2. If you have seen it, I might be able to provide some added insight on the second viewing. I could easily write a post about different aspects of the game, but the live stream of me watching and commentating allows for more stream of consciousness type commentary. You can follow along if you have NFL Rewind or the game on DVR, or you can just hear what I have to say.

3. You can watch this Hangout in the embedded player above, or you can come back and watch it later when you have more time.

Given the constraints of recording via Google+ Hangouts, I'm going to break this into two videos. This first one will be the first half and the next one will be the second half. I will do the second half video at 11am pacific time tomorrow (Saturday morning).

If you are around as I am doing this live, drop comments below and I will respond via the Hangout. Additionally, you can hit me up on twitter @ninersnation and I will respond to those tweets via the Hangout.

I have no idea how this will work but I figure why not try it out? The only thing I lose is time, right?
