Golden Nuggets: So long, Brandon Jacobs

Tuesday, December 11, 2012 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of 49ers links from around the web.

So the San Francisco 49ers are moving on without running back Brandon Jacobs. I'm really glad that we can finally get past this. I mean, Jacobs knew what he was getting into, and then he looked absolutely awful when he got a chance to carry the ball. He's also not a team player in any way and all I can think of when I think of him is whining, whining and more whining.

In other words, good riddance, Brandon Jacobs.

As far as the game against the Miami Dolphins is concerned, I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Colin Kaepernick was unremarkable, but solid, confirming the fact that the 49ers are going to be a grinding team, intangible explosiveness notwithstanding. Up next, they've got a big test in the New England Patriots. I'll say this: if the 49ers play like they did against Miami, they'll lose by three touchdowns. No other way to put it.

Enjoy the linkage, folks.
