Golden Nuggets: Demarcus Dobbs on IR; Prepping for Patriots

Guess what, guys? I'm doing a quick edition of the Nuggets today. Well......very little jibber jabber. Very little dilly dallying. Very little slack-a$$, no work, goldbricking, etc....

It wasn't a massive news day, anyway. Demarcus Dobbs was placed on IR. Coach Harbaugh had been optimistic using his standard "we appear to have dodged a bullet" refrain. Well.....the bullet hit. The Brandon Jacobs fallout was minimal. It's not as though he was a contributing player. He's been a glorified practice squad player for us. I do sympathize with his situation but he could have learned from Braylon Edwards that being a distraction and getting cut for it makes you 'hands-off' after that. Good luck getting someone to roll the dice on you next year Mr. Jacobs.

We begin the two-game road trip that will define the season and our postseason seeding. No way around it that we need to win one out of two against the Patriots and Seahawks to win the division. The Pats look especially intimidating following that absolute demolition of the Houston Texans. We'll see how the Texans respond. If we don't win out, I'm afraid we might lose the No. 2 seed to the Packers. None of the potential sixth seeds seem terribly threatening at this point. But that week off would be NICE.
