The 49ers square off with the New England Patriots, and they will be underdogs for the first time since Week 1 against the Packers. The 49ers were six point underdogs in that game, and they are once against sitting in that range. The 49ers were six point underdogs, but the line has come back to 5.5 in some places.
The 49ers can win Sunday's game, but it's going to take one heck of an effort. I won't throw around "perfect", but they will most definitely need to bring their A-game on Sunday. The Patriots defense can be beaten, but even still, I don't think this is going to turn into a low scoring, defensive battle. The 49ers are going to have to put some points on the board to win this one. I suppose the defenses and cold weather could slow it down, but I just have a hunch it'll take at least four touchdowns to win this one. With an over/under in the 46-47 range, I would hit the over quite heavy.
