The 49ers and Patriots each released their final injury reports for Sunday Night Football, and Mario Manningham is listed as doubtful for the second straight week. Manningham was doubtful last week after sitting out practice all week. This week, he was limited on Wednesday and Thursday, but sat out Friday.
It seems that he is likely to either have had a setback in his recovery, or he simply was not ready to go full-bore after the back-to-back limited practices, so he called it a day. That means A.J. Jenkins will be back behind Michael Crabtree and Randy Moss. In a game that could require a few more points to win than most, we'll see what the 49ers do with Jenkins, and all the wide receivers for that matter.
As for the Patriots, as usual, Bill Belichick has listed practically half the team as questionable. Rob Gronkowski ended up getting in limited participation on Friday, but I have to think the odds are kind of long for him to play. On the other hand, most of the guys that got in at least some practice all three days are likely to be active on Sunday.
