For the first time all year, the NFL is providing a much broader split of games between the 10 a.m. and 1:05/1:25 p.m. starts. This week we have eight games starting at 10 and five games starting at 1:05 or 1:25. The most pertinent game, Seahawks @ Bills, is this afternoon, but in the meantime, we've got some really intriguing potential playoff matchups on the slate.
The NFC slate includes Giants-Falcons and Packers-Bears. Both could end up as January matchups, but even more importantly for now, they could have significant bearing on the playoff race. Add in Redskins-Browns and we'll have a lot of potential changes in the standings today.
The AFC schedule includes some huge matchups as well with the Ravens hosting the Broncos and the Texans hosting the Colts. All four of these teams are probably going to be in the playoffs, so they all get a little chance to scout each other out. It should make for a great morning of NFL action.
