49ers vs. Seahawks: Who would you swap in?

We take a look at which Seahawks player we would like to see on the 49ers roster

In recent years, while the 49ers and Seahawks have struggled to be "good" at the same time, a solid rivalry has developed on the west coast. Given that both teams are looking like playoff contenders, Danny Kelly, from Field Gulls, a and I thought we would come up with a bit more cross-blog content than normal. We'll have some Q&A and a Google+ Hangout, but we also thought it would be fun to take a look at some other aspects of the matchup.

For today, we decided to look at which player on the other team you would want to swap to your team. It is not surprising that the folks at Field Gulls decided to pick Justin Smith.

I took a few minutes to look over the Seahawks roster, and while they do have a lot of talent, there are not a players I would look at and say, Player X on the Seahawks is clearly a better option than Player Y on the 49ers.

I narrowed the list down to two players: CB Richard Sherman and K Steven Hauschka. I figured Hauschka is kind of the low-hanging fruit option given David Akers struggles. Add in that Hauschka is only 27, and is perfect inside the 50-yard line, and it's probably a pretty easy call.

However, I think I'd roll with Richard Sherman. The 49ers secondary has been fairly solid, but if I had to make a change, it would be trying to get younger and a bit more athletic with Sherman over a guy like Carlos Rogers. I am not as down on Rogers as some, but in this case I think Sherman could help develop the 49ers cornerback unit quite a bit. Imagine mixing his physicality in with the 49ers current group?

Would you add Sherman, or somebody else, if you had the chance? Or maybe, nobody?
