49ers vs. Rams inactives: A.J. Jenkins active, LaMichael James, Danny Amendola inactive

We break down the inactive report for the 49ers-Rams matchup

Thearon W. Henderson

The 49ers and Rams released their inactive reports and as expected Danny Amendola is inactive. He was listed as doubtful, so the odds were slim that he would play. This benefits the 49ers, but they will still have to pay close attention to Chris Givens. Sam Bradford has looked Givens way a fair amount when Amendola has been out.

For the 49ers, A.J. Jenkins is active for only the second time this season, while LaMichael James is inactive. Jenkins was active for the season opener but did not see the field, and has been inactive ever since. With Kyle Williams injury, it will be interesting to see if Jenkins sees the field today for any extended time.

James' deactivation would indicate that Brandon Jacobs will get the bulk of the carries behind Frank Gore. Anthony Dixon likely could find himself getting some carries as well, but for now it's Frank Gore and Brandon Jacobs handling the carries. This should be interesting to say the least.

49ers: Scott Tolzien, LaMichael James, Joe Looney, Trenton Robinson, Jewel Hampton, Ian Williams, Demarcus Dobbs

Rams: Danny Amendola, Austin Davis, Terrance Ganaway, Mark Haggan, Chris Williams, Joe Barksdale, Matthew Conrath
