We're building up to this massive game against the Seattle Seahawks. I've been on Twitter with a little friendly banter with some Seahawks fans. Their confident, and they should be. They just beat the crap out of two bad teams. Good teams crush bad teams...that's what they did. 49ers have every reason to believe they're the best team in the league. They just beat the previously top-ranked team, the Patriots, winners of 7 straight until we squashed that in Foxborough. The one wild card in this game is Richard Sherman and his potential suspension for PEDs. If he gets suspended, I think the air is let out of the Seahawks sails and we beat them easily. We can pass all day if both of their CBs are out. We find out Friday. And Mike Sando notes below that the Seahawks are ranked 32nd against the rush since Week 7. Might we blow them out? That's a bit much....but...would be nice to show Pete Carroll our 'deal'.
There's three more articles by Sando talking about how good Colin Kaepernick is. Two are under 49ers vs Seahawks and one in assorted news. I don't want to spoil...but he's good. Better than Russell Wilson? I think so and so does Sando.
Enjoy your links....I'm off for a few days.
Week 16: 49ers at Seahawks
Just why, exactly should we be afraid of the Seahawks. BASG has a ton of reasons. And this isn't just a fluke year. Russell Wilson is ranked 5th by PFF and 8th by ESPN at QB, and he's a rookie. | Why Russell Wilson and Seahawks offense deserve your attention (BASG)
Since Week 7, the Seattle Seahawks are ranked 32nd against the run. And with Richard Sherman possibly suspended, they may have trouble stopping our offense. | Overlooked area favors 49ers vs Seahawks (Sando)
Here's a good comparison of Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson against their 4 common opponents this season. Kaepernick comes out slightly better, with an extra win and less interceptions. All four teams sport decent defenses. Can you name the four teams? | Kaepernick, Wilson vs same four defenses (Sando)

49ers 41, Patriots 34
Here's my write-up of the Patriots game. I was amazed that we scored so much. Reminded me a lot of the Saints playoff game last year. Then we found a way to win. We've beat both the Packers and Patriots on the road this season. Who's else has that good of a road resume? | Colin Kaepernick outshines Tom Brady in possible Super Bowl preview (Malone)
Here's a disturbing development from the Patriots game. When Justin Smith left the game, Aldon Smith's pressure went along with it. Cowboy isn't going to be around forever, and he may not be around this weekend. | Aldon Smith's pressure disappears along with Justin Smith (BASG)
Kaepernick is not just earning the league's respect, he's earning awards, too. Kudos for Kaepernick: Wins NFC Offensive Player of the Week (Inman)
Film review: Pistol effective vs Pats, Michael Crabtree, Ray McDonald stand out (Barrows)
Assorted 49ers News
Christian Gin has a good piece about the growth of Colin Kaepernick. In his 5 starts, he's won massive games against the Bears, at the Saints, with all of New Orleans wanting our blood, and at the Patriots. He'd be ranked 2nd in league in ESPN QBR if he qualified, just ahead of Brady. | Colin Kaepernick growing before our eyes (Gin)
More Sando goodness for you. Colin Kaepernick is the highest rated QB through his first 5 starts by ESPNs QBR since 2008 (I think that's when they introduced the stat). Watch out league! I think they count fumbles against you in that one, which lowers his from, like....15k QBR down to 81.3. | Where Kaepernick stands through five starts (Sando)
More than just the headline. Kyle Bonagura has various Niners notes for CBS Sports. | Jim Harbaugh, Pete Carroll not exchanging Christmas cards (Bonagura)
Here's a fun one for you. Eric Branch shows us where KaeperSmith would rank among the league leaders for quarterbacks. | Where KaeperSmith would rank among NFL passing leaders (Branch)
