The 49ers do not kick off until later tonight, but in the meantime we've got some important NFL action that does impact the 49ers. The 10:00 a.m. slate of games features the most important non-49ers game on the schedule. The Green Bay Packers host the Tennessee Titans, in a game in which the Packers are favored by double digits. The Packers should roll this game, but we'll keep our fingers crossed for the slim possibility of a Titans upset.
The other pertinent game is Panthers-Raiders. Carolina is hosting Oakland, and we continue to root for Panthers losses in the name of strong draft positioning. The 49ers own the Panthers third round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, so we like seeing Panthers losses. Carolina is sitting at 5-9 and a win would likely move them out of the top ten heading into Week 17. We don't want that.
