The 49ers are ten point favorites heading into Week 14, and double digit point spreads can be tricky to sort through. Personally, I think bookies really like the 49ers, but want to sucker in some folks to put money on the Dolphins. Obviously this game is no gimme, so maybe they're trying to sucker in people like me who are thinking the former thought. Or maybe I'm just overthinking everything!
The 49ers have their work cut out for them, but if they can take advantage of the shake-up on the offensive line. RT Jonathan Martin will take over at left tackle, and with a new right tackle slotting in for him, the 49ers pass rush has a chance to do some damage. If they can get pressure on Tannehill, that opens the door for sacks setting up poor field position, and turnovers flipping field position. The offense needs to show up, but covering a double-digit spread will require another strong defensive showing.
