49ers all-time great Joe Montana turned 56 today, and it seemed as good a reason as any to post this quality highlight reel. Anytime you can mix in some bad-ass NFL Films music, it's a winner.
There has always been a modest debate of Joe guys vs. Steve guys. While I was a Steve guy, it wasn't because I thought he was a better quarterback. Both were among the greatest quarterbacks of all-time. It would be certainly have been interesting to see how Montana would have done had he and Young reversed careers. Maybe nothing would be different, maybe everything would be different. It makes for fun debate.
