The 49ers have made their official announcement that one training camp practice on August 12 will be open to the public. The practice will take place at their FanFest event at Candlestick Park. In recent years, the 49ers have opened up several of their Santa Clara practices to the public, but construction on the new stadium has created enough hazards that they will not open up more practices.
If you're in the Bay Area, or were thinking of traveling to the Bay Area for a training camp practice, tickets for the August 12 FanFest event will go on sale sometime in July. 49ers.com will have an announcement on that date in the next few weeks. I'll front page FanShot it and tweet it out when the info comes available. Tickets will be $5, with all proceeds going to charity.
