In case you don't keep track of any SB Nation college football blogs, they have come together to try and create a Hall of Fame that can accurately honor the talented players across college football history. The College Football Hall of Fame recognizes plenty of players, but it has various bizarre rules that prevent many players from being honored.

49ers linebacker Patrick Willis is one of four finalists for the linebacker position, and faces a stiff uphill battle against Derrick Johnson for the honor. I would imagine there will be annual inductions, but it would be nice to get Willis in sooner rather than later. This isn't the be-all, end-all of recognitions, but it is cool to note that Ricky Williams tweeted a thanks for his automatic induction.

When you have a minute, head over to SB Nation and vote for Patrick Willis for the College Football Hall of Fame. Willis led the SEC in tackles his junior and senior years and finished his college career with 345 tackles. If you want to take a trip in the way-back machine, check out our pre-draft Willis scouting report. How about our post when Willis was inserted into the starting lineup his first preseason?

Head over and vote!
