Golden Nuggets: Stadium Funds, Drew Brees & Bounties

The news picked up a little bit late in the day with the 49ers winning a temporary restraining order on $30 million in stadium funding. I'll get into that in a bit more detail later in the morning, but for now you can check out the Mercury News article about this on-going nonsense. The legal process is only just now beginning, but at this point it seems like a process that favors the 49ers.

While other news is relatively slim in relation to the 49ers, i've included some links to SB Nation NFL story streams. The New Orleans Saints remain prominently in NFL news with Drew Brees winning his arbitration hearing and the NFL upholding the suspensions of Saints players in the bounty scandal. The Brees saga is an interesting one to follow, even if the ruling will have little bearing on the NFL. Brees is only the second player to be franchised by multiple teams. Nonetheless, it makes for a tough negotiation process
