The 49ers are back at practice down in Santa Clara today, which means we'll get some more media availability. The 49ers had Saturday off and then conducted an open practice during FanFest at Candlestick Park. They'll return to their normal practice schedule as they get ready for this Saturday's road game against the Houston Texans.
Today's session (starting at 11:45am PT) provides some interesting perspective. Coach Fangio will likely have some comments about the less than stellar first couple drives by the 49ers defense. The defense went into bend but don't break and held the Vikings to a pair of field goals, but there were some miscommunications and occasionally lackadaisical performances. My guess is the defense is a bit bored.
Alex Boone will get a chance to discuss his first game at right guard, while Perrish Cox will discuss his first football game since 2010. Both had solid performances on Friday and will look to build on them this weekend.
