The 49ers wrapped up their last formal practice of training camp, and move into more regular game preparation as we get into week two of the preseason. The 49ers will run a mock game today, then head off to Houston for their matchup this weekend. After that, they revert to a fairly normal practice schedule, which also means media will not be able to check out too much of practice. There will still be some media availability, but it will be a bit different with the move from "training camp" to "preseason".
Since I'm making a rare appearance covering the Nuggets, I'll use it to pimp out something I'm working on for the mothership. I'm helping run SB Nation's fantasy football content, and we're building up some new initiatives this year. The big one is a Fantasy War Room starting this coming Monday. This will basically be a four-hour long live chat seven days a week until the season starts, and then six days a week (no Saturday) during the season.
The idea is that people will be able to come in and ask questions and get their answers right there. They can do that to a certain extent on Twitter, but this will be a dedicated live line each day. I'll be helping, as will several other fantasy folks. During the season we'll focus on things like waiver wire news, injuries, and sit/start advice. For the next few weeks, starting Monday, we'll be running 3pm-7pm PT hours Monday through Friday, and 11am to 3pm PT Saturday and Sunday. If you're in the middle of a draft and have questions, you can pop in and fire them off. It should be a lot of fun. Make sure and check it out at SB Nation Fantasy. It will impress my bosses!
