Since I'll get getting plenty of questions about the air time and channels for tonight's 49ers-Texans matchup, I thought I'd put together a post similar to last week with a breakdown of pertinent broadcast information. This includes radio and the various affiliate stations in Northern/Central California and Oregon (among others).
If you don't get any of these, but do get NFL Network, you can check out re-broadcasts. NFL Network will re-air the game Sunday at 10am PT, Monday night at 9pm PT and next Thursday night at midnight PT. Make sure and set the DVR for one of those if you won't be able to check out tonight's game.
Tonight's 49ers-Texans game kicks off at Reliant Stadium in Houston at 5:00pm PT (8:00pm ET). It will be on the air in the Bay Area on CBS 5, with Dennis O'Donnell and Tim Ryan handling the broadcast. Here are some other regions channels I found courtesy of the always helpful the506.com:
KPIX 5 (CBS; San Francisco)
KOVR 13 (CBS; Sacramento)
KION 46 (CBS; Monterey)
KGPE 47 (CBS; Fresno)
KERO 23 (ABC; Bakersfield)
KSBY 6 (NBC; San Luis Obispo)
KCVU 20 (FOX; Chico CA)
KBVU 28 (FOX; Eureka CA)
KOLO 8 (ABC; Reno)
KLAS 8 (CBS; Las Vegas)
KFBI 48 (MyTV; Medford OR)
KVAL 13 (CBS; Eugene, Oregon)
KITV 4 (ABC; Honolulu)
The game's radio broadcast will be on KGO 810 and 107.7 The Bone, with a Spanish broadcast set for KBRG 860 ESPN Deportes. SiriusXM will broadcast the game on Channel 92.
If you are not in the Bay Area or one of the cities listed above, your next best option is NFL Preseason Live. For $20, you can view all non-national, non-local games on your computer, with HD options available. If you live in the Bay Area, the 49ers game will be blacked out. Also, the 49ers-Broncos national game in week three will be blacked out.
