Golden Nuggets: Broncos vs 49ers, Roster Watch

Good morning, all. Big game coming up. Well, you know, a preseason game. Usually in game 4 your starters are resting so this will be the last good look we'll get at the first teams before the season starts. We've got very few questions that need answering and there are few roster spots up for grabs. We should learn most of what we need to know from today's action. And, as we are well aware, the roster gets cut down to 75 on Monday. Who's on the chopping block? Generally this cut is comprised of the all the bodies that make up the numbers in camp, so I wouldn't expect any big surprises. But, you never know.

There's not a lot of links at this moment. I'm going to take the opportunity to run through the Nuggets and take care of some stuff around the house. Quite a bit of the pregame analysis will go up tomorrow before game time. So I ask you this...when I do the Nuggets tomorrow, does anyone want any of the links to the stuff from before the game (things that have come out too late to go in this edition) or do you only care about the game and its analysis. There will be a ton of the latter, and it's generally more pertinent and I would be inclined to dismiss anything pre game. Any feedback?

Matt Barrows has a piece on Demarcus Dobbs' versatility and how it could cost others a roster spot. Versatility is great and all...but what happens if Dobbs gets injured. I'm sure I'm not the first to bring this up, but it's worth discussing. If he goes down, we lose two players. Also of note is that it hasn't been announced who will be the no. 3 QB in the game, but whomever comes in third should tell us a bit. Barrows thinks the FO might be gauging trade interest in the loser of that competition. | 49ers roster watch: Dobbs versatility could cost others a job. (Barrows)
