Game day is back once again as the 49ers take on the San Diego Chargers in their preseason finale. While I am always down for some 49ers football, I get my first kick in the butt by east coast sports time. The game kicks off at 7:00 p.m. PT, which means 10pm out here on the east coast. I can only imagine what it will be like around 11:30pm when both teams have rolled out the deep end of their benches. I enjoy watching the 49ers as much as anybody, but second half preseason play can be brutal to watch.
Tonight's 49ers-Texans Chargers game kicks off on Bill Walsh Field at Candlestick Park at 7:00pm PT. It will be on the air in the Bay Area on CBS 5, with Dennis O'Donnell and Tim Ryan handling the broadcast. If you are desperate to watch tonight's game, NFL Preseason Live is available for $9.99. It allows you to watch tonight's game and also re-watch any previous preseason games.
However, if you want to check out a re-broadcast of the 49ers-Chargers game, NFL Network will have it tonight at midnight PT and again on Sunday at 10pm PT. I can't view the NFL Network schedule after that, so I don't know if it will be available Monday or Tuesday.
