As mentioned in the comments, the 49ers announced they have waived cornerback Curtis Holcomb. The 49ers drafted him in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon at the start of last year's training camp and sat out the year. He returned this year, but injury issues kept him off the field for over a week of practice.
While I'm a bit surprised the 49ers cut him at this point of training camp, it's not surprising that he was cut in general. He faced a tough battle to earn a roster spot as the 49ers have built up some serious depth at the cornerback position. Aside from the return of Carlos Rogers, Tarell Brown and Chris Culliver, the 49ers added Perrish Cox in free agency and have Tramaine Brock continuing to emerge. The numbers game was something he was unlikely to overcome. Best of luck, however, to Curtis as he looks to pursue his NFL dream elsewhere.
And just to follow on the twitter joke, any guesses on how long until the Seahawks sign him?
