The 49ers and Lions submitted their final injury reports this weekend, and while the 49ers are in relatively good shape heading into this weekend, the Lions face a tough test. The Lions will be without cornerback Dwight Bentley who is listed as out with his concussion issues. Safety Louis Delmas (knee) and cornerback Chris Houston (ankle) are both listed s doubtful, which means they are unlikely to play.
This does not guarantee the 49ers anything in the passing game, but they have to be a little bit more comfortable with guys like Jacob Lacey, Drayton Florence and rookie Jonte Green having to fill in. This leads to concerns about their starters, but also their depth if they deal with any more injuries.
On the 49ers side of things, Brandon Jacobs and Ted Ginn Jr. are both listed as questionable. Coach Harbaugh said they were getting "darn close" to returning and "might have a shot this week." I'm not holding my breath for either, particularly in light of the team's success last week. I don't expect the team to roll the dice if they do not need to this week.
