The 49ers and Lions released their inactive reports for Sunday Night Football and the 49ers are making things interesting. They have deactivated both Ted Ginn Jr. and A.J. Jenkins, leaving them with four wide receivers in Michael Crabtree, Randy Moss, Mario Manningham and Kyle Williams. They are also deactivating Garrett Celek, leaving them with Vernon Davis and Delanie Walker as natural tight ends. Demarcus Dobbs has been learning some tight end in the preseason, and the team is obviously not show about using offensive linemen in a blocking tight end role.
The Lions have deactivated three-quarters of their secondary with CBs Chris Houston and Bill Bentley, and safety Louis Delmas all sidelined with injuries. I am quite curious to see how Jim Harbaugh and Greg Roman attack this defense tonight. The 49ers are a run-first team, but you have to think they have planned something around the banged up Lions secondary.
