Good morning, everyone. I hope you all are liking the new layout and design. It's pretty slick and I am impressed. It was a pretty slow news day and this is my first Nuggets on the new and improved site, so I'm going to make it a quick one in case I have to spend tons of time working out the bells and whistles. I'm still trying to recover from the loss to the Vikings. I'm writing my first post for Bay Area SB Nation and I've been going over the three TD drives that the Vikings had. Each one had a few plays on there that were uncharacteristic, a missed tackle on third down or a player not playing through the whistle, then standing by as a Viking breaks more tackles for more yards. The good news is it appears correctable. Coach Harbaugh, break out the boot and insert it.....
The news of the day is that the 49ers have signed Ricardo Lockette to the practice squad. He replaces Nathan Palmer who was signed to the Colts yesterday. He's a WR with some kick returning experience who saw very little action with the Seahawks last season. Welcome to the team. Other than that there's not much to report on, mostly Ohio-based public interest stories. It's now official that Darrelle Revis is done for the year. Widely considered one of the best, if not the best, cover corner in the league, it's a big blow for the Jets and their yearly Super Bowl guarantees (does Rex still do that? I haven't paid attention to him in years). And in that sick way that is unique to the NFL, one team's loss is another 31 teams' gain.
