The 49ers and Jets are coming back out for the second half with the 49ers leading the game 10-0. The 49ers really should be leading by more at this point, but a 10-0 lead is better than nothing. The 49ers left three points on the field on a David Akers field goal, and have had some ups and downs on offense. They have shown some incredibly potential, but now it is a matter of doing it with a bit ore frequency.
Fortunately, the Jets are not nearly as good as their 2-1 record might otherwise indicate. I suppose it does not necessarily indicate much, but either way the 49ers have been able to do some damage on both sides of the ball. The 49ers have made some stupid mistakes, but they have not yet burned the team. The worst was Aldon Smith picking up a personal foul to extend a drive into 49ers territory, but fortunately a Jets fumble ended that drive shortly thereafter.
We're back out for the third quarter with the Jets getting the ball to start things off. Let's hope the 49ers can put some more distance between them.
