Randy Moss Talks 49ers-Packers And Preparing For The Season

Randy Moss took a few minutes after practice yesterday to conduct a bit of an impromptu media session. He has not spoken with the media too frequently, but when he does start talking, he generally has had some interesting things to chat about. I've embedded the video after the jump courtesy of CSN Bay Area. If you aren't able to view the video, I've linked to three transcripts as well.

Moss discussed everything from returning to Lambeau Field (after saying he wouldn't answer questions about Lambeau Field) to the work of Charles Woodson. The Packers are playing Woodson in a safety role, but according to Moss they will be rolling him in at nickel back when they face three and four receiver sets. The 49ers will roll out three receivers at times, but given their frequent use of two tight ends, they will likely do so less than a lot of other teams.

Moss also talked about his preparation for the season and gave us some insight into his work ethic. He was asked if preparing for a game is like riding a bike.

No, not at all. You have to prepare yourself because if you're not prepared, how are you going to have success? So I prepare myself every day from minicamp, training camp to today's the first day of Week 1.

He definitely seems fired up about this team and excited for the opportunities in 2012. He seems to really enjoy the youth and energy on the team. I think much of that comes from the top down courtesy of Jim Harbaugh. The team has a lot of youth, but also plenty of veterans and Coach Harbaugh naturally seems to get the most out of them.
