And here we go. The 49ers open their 2012 regular season campaign with a huge matchup against the Green Bay Packers. This has the potential for a playoff preview, but even if they don't meet in the playoffs, this is the biggest matchup of Week 1. The 49ers are modest favorites on the road at Lambeau, but games like this will tell us a lot about this team. Week 1 is never a "must-win", but it is a game where it would be nice to see a strong performance in all phases of the game.
I don't think there really needs to be a whole lot more said. It's time for the 49ers to take care of business. Plain and simple.
