Adam Schefter just sent out an interesting tweet this morning:
49ers source said he "highly, highly doubted" SF WR Michael Crabtree will be charged in events that led to investigation of sexual assault.

Hopefully this turns out to be the case, but it is worth noting that we do not know what information the source has at their disposal, so for now this should probably be taken with a grain of salt. I was questioning whether to post this because we are officially into speculation territory, but it's not like we're in Incarcerated Bob territory. For those who don't know who that is, he is a Twitter personality who flings all sorts of crap against the wall to see what sticks. I say it's speculation because we don't know what Michael Crabtree and his attorney have told the team. I'm hoping for the best, but until the police and DA decide what they're going to do, it's speculation.
For now, without further information about anything, the biggest concern for 49ers fans is whether or not Michael Crabtree and the 49ers are distracted in the NFC Championship Game. Michael Irvin and Warren Sapp were discussing this on NFL Network this morning. While I generally don't listen too closely to them, when it comes to off-field distractions, is there a better source than Michael Irvin?
Hopefully Crabtree and company can tune this out for three hours this afternoon, but I can't imagine it's an easy task. The 49ers have a tough enough task without being distracted while on the field. It's all about being professionals, so hopefully it's not an issue.
