The San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals released their inactives, and we have a bit of a surprise. The 49ers have deactivated LaMichael James. He is a healthy scratch. I suppose it is not a crazy surprise, but after a solid late appearance against the Texans, it is a little bit of a surprise.
The big news though is that Patrick Willis is active. He will move back into the starting lineup, with Wilhoite moving back into his reserve and special teams role. Willis sat the last two weeks with a groin injury, but he was indicating he felt much better this week. He will be joined in the lineup by Jonathan Goodwin, who was dealing with the flu.
Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has been announced as an active. He has been dealing with a hamstring injury, but was a full participant in practice on Friday. There was some concern this morning that he might not play, but it sounds like he will give it a go. We'll see if he is at all hampered against the 49ers secondary.
