49ers defeat Cardinals, winning third straight

It may not have been a great day of football on Sunday, but it was certainly a good day! The 49ers improved to 4-2 as they defeated the Arizona Cardinals 32-20 at Candlestick Park. The 49ers claimed their third straight win. It marks their first three-game winning streak since defeating the Cardinals Week 17 last year, following by playoffs wins over the Packers and Falcons. The team's last regular season winning streak of at least three games came in 2011 when they closed the season with wins over the Steelers, Seahawks and Rams.

The 49ers begin a lengthy road trip this week with a trip to face the Tennessee Titans, followed by a trip across the pond to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. That is followed by a bye week, a home game, and two road games, marking four road games in six weeks. The key will be winning these next two heading into the bye week. If they can sit at 6-2 at the halfway point, I think we could all live with that.

The 49ers are playing far from perfect football, but they've returned to a point where they are finding ways to win. Beating the Rams, Texans and Cardinals is not exactly a murderer's row of opponents at this point, but after those two losses, any wins are good wins.
