Although the San Francisco 49ers struggled at times early on to put away the Cardinals, a mix of strong performances helped take care of business. The 49ers sent along a rundown of game notes featuring some notable numbers.
Vernon Davis had one of the biggest days, matching his career high with 180 receiving yards. In his postseason debut against the New Orleans Saints, Davis finished with 180 yards and two touchdowns. Davis also became the first tight end in 49ers history to record a touchdown reception of 60+ yards in consecutive weeks. Congrats Vernon!
Frank Gore also had another big day, rushing for 101 yards. He now has 477 yards rushing on the season, and 9,316 for his career. Gore needs 684 rushing yards to reach 10,000 for his career. At 68.4 yards per remaining game that is do-able this season, but will obviously require some work. Gore is currently ranked No. 33 all-time. He is right behind Adrian Peterson, with Earl Campbell only 91 yards ahead.
Here are a look at various other interesting tidbits from Sunday's game.
