NaVorro Bowman to appear on ESPN's E:60

49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman is set to appear on ESPN's E:60 investigative journalism show. We take a look at a preview video and ESPN's preview of the episode.

The folks at ESPN recently sent me the above promo video for tonight's E:60 featuring NaVorro Bowman. It will air at 7 p.m. ET, so I believe 4 p.m. PT. They usually re-air this stuff in case you miss it. Here is a description ESPN provided:

ESPN's award-winning newsmagazine program E:60 follows San Francisco 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman on a journey of discovery in the episode airing Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Bowman had almost everything he dreamed of when the 2012 season ended. He'd been named to his first Pro Bowl. He led his team to an NFC Championship and the Super Bowl. And he had signed a five-year, $42.5 million contract extension.

In fact, the only thing the 25-year-old did not have was peace of mind. Bowman had recently learned about a family secret, a secret that had long been kept from him and that threw everything he thought he knew about himself into question.

His identity shaken, his faith tested, and his family fractured, Bowman decided to find out the truth about himself. E:60's Jeffri Chadiha joined Bowman on a very personal journey of discovery, with stops in Concord, N.C., and Washington, D.C., a journey on which Bowman uncovers far more than he ever expected.

Eric Branch wrote a brief promo for this as well, and discussed a pair of deaths that impacted Bowman. This E:60 feature later tonight would appear to be something entirely different. I've set my DVR in case I miss it, but I want to try and catch it tomorrow.
