The 49ers suffered a tough loss early in Sunday's win over the Cardinals, as nose tackle Glenn Dorsey suffered a hamstring strain. Dorsey departed in the first quarter, replaced by nose tackle Tony Jerod-Eddie, and Demarcus Dobbs briefly as well.
Vic Fangio was on KNBR this morning, and he indicated the injury was not quite as bad as expected.
Fangio said Glenn Dorsey's status won't be known until later in the week, but "We don't think (the injury) is as bad as initially feared."

And so, we once again get to wait and see what happens as the week moves on. The 49ers will submit their first practice participation report on Wednesday, and I have to think the odds are pretty good Dorsey is a DNP. The question is whether he gets in any practice at all this week.
The 49ers will be able to start working Quinton Dial into the practice rotation, but I don't actually know if the 49ers have to include him on the practice participation report. It makes for an interesting week for tracking the injury report starting on Wednesday.
