Earlier today, the San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans each released their first practice participation reports of Week 7. The 49ers report does not contain any surprises. Alex Boone, Glenn Dorsey, Ray McDonald and Justin Smith all sat out practice. Boone has been dealing with a shoulder issue that has limited his practice reps, but does not seem to be costing him on game. McDonald has been dealing with his partially torn biceps tendon, while Smith is likely going to continue getting practice time off each week to keep him closer to 100 percent (he was doing some weight work).

The only truly significant question mark is Glenn Dorsey. The 49ers nose tackle left Sunday's game in the first quarter with a hamstring injury, and did not return. The team has not made a roster move at this point, which would indicate the team does not expect this to be a lengthy issue. However, for now, the team still might end up missing him this weekend against the Titans. Tony Jerod-Eddie would replace him at nose tackle, and the team might decide Quinton Dial needs to be activated. Given that Dial has not played a down of football since finishing up his season at Alabama, that is certainly an "interesting" situation, to say the least.

The big issues for the Titans are LB Moise Fokou and QB Jake Locker. Fokou starts at middle linebacker, and suffered a knee injury last week and was viewed early in the week as day-to-day. Head coach Mike Munchak has since confirmed he will NOT play this weekend. Colin McCarthy will start in his place. Locker was limited at practice, marking his return to the practice field. It sounds like most people expect him to return after the Titans Week 8 bye. In the meantime, Ryan Fitzpatrick will handle the QB duties.
