The San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans released their inactive reports, and as expected, Jake Locker is active. The Titans also officially listed him as their starting quarterback, so he is back in the saddle.. Although he is probably not 100 percent, he brings more athleticism to the QB position than Ryan Fitzpatrick. And really, he just brings more QB skills in general. Now we'll just have to see how he performs against this 49ers defense.

On the 49ers side of things, Glenn Dorsey and Quinton Dial are both active. Dorsey is listed as the 49ers starting nose tackle. It will be interesting to see if there is a rotation, or if Dorsey gets all the snaps.

Marlon Moore and LaMichael James are both healthy scratches. Jim Harbaugh and Greg Roman have both proclaimed LMJ's value, but at this point he really does seem to be a basic insurance policy. Given the struggles in the passing game, if he was anything more, I imagine we'd see it by now.

As for Moore, this is likely the first step toward his eventual release when Mario Manningham comes off the PUP list. Moore opened the season as the starter opposite Anquan Boldin, but he has not been able to do much of anything to date.

49ers inactives: QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson, WR Quinton Patton, WR Marlon Moore, RB LaMichael James, CB Nnamdi Asomugha, LB Jermaine Cunningham & G Joe Looney

Titans inactives: QB Rusty Smith, LB Zaviar Gooden, LB Moise Fokou, LB Patrick Bailey, C Rob Turner, T Byron Stingily, DE Derrick Morgan
